You will also see how operator contact details and sales notes are displayed for products as well as how to prepare a voucher to take it to the point of sale.

 

Working with Products in the Ticketing Tree

How to find products that are stored in your IBIS database using the Ticketing Tree. You will also see how to search for operators and products by region, name and the category that they are in (e.g. accommodation or activities). You will also learn how to find contact details for an operator and information about products.

You can quickly add a new operator and products to your IBIS system using out 'Add new operator wizard'. This video walks you through the steps to add the operator details and pricing for an activity called Mary's Maze.

Instead of using the 'Add new operator wizard' described in Video 3 to quickly add a product, you can add a new product in more detail. You will be shown how to add a product called Bob's BBQ Bus along with region, category, departure times, keywords, pricing and operator's contact details.

How to rename a category and rename an operator name. Find out how to change details for a product such as departure time, product duration, pricing and commission rate.

 

Hiding and Un-Hiding Products

Find out how to hide products from within the ticketing tree, you would need to do this if an operator stops providing a particular product. Also find out how to reshow a product in the tree that has previously been hidden.

 

Selling Vouchers

You will be walked through finding an accommodation product from the tree, choosing the type of accommodation within the product, the number of nights, entering the customer name, the check in time and the booking reference id. You will also be shown how to add a note to the customer's printed voucher, as well as adding a private note that the customer will not get to see.

How to find an activity product from the ticketing tree. Select the type of option that is required for the product, the departure date and time, pickup details and the booking reference id. Find out about default ticket notes for a product as well as private notes.

 

Taking Payment for Vouchers

You be walked through how to take a completed voucher to the Point of Sale. In the example the customer will be paying for a Downhill Mountain Bike product with a part payment of cash and the rest paid by credit card. Once the payment has been taken you will be shown how to see the payment information within the ticket.

Video 10: Taking Payment for more than one Voucher at a Time [PLAY >>]

When a customer purchases more than one voucher, they will generally want to pay for them all at once. You will be shown how to create the vouchers and use the Find Screen to highlight all the vouchers that you want to take to the Point of Sale screen to be processed in one transaction.

This video shows you what to do when a product price is different from that already in the IBIS system. For example, if a product price has increased, or there is a special price on temporarily. You will be shown how to make changes permanently to a product in the IBIS database as well as how to make a temporary price change for one ticket.

How to find a previously made voucher in the IBIS system. You will be shown how to find an old ticket by operator name,  ticket sale date or pax name.

Sometimes you will need to reprint a voucher. You will be walked through how to find the ticket if you do not already know the ticket number and make a reprint.

 

Sale Types

Video 14: Working with Different Sale Types [PLAY >>]

IBIS lets you create tickets with an option of 3 different sale types. You will be shown how to create a ticket where you take the total product value as payment from the customer, in IBIS this is know as an Agent All sale. You will also be shown how to make a ticket for a referral whereby you take no payment and the operator sends you the commission later. Lastly you will learn about taking a deposit for a product.

You will be walked through the process of finding a referral voucher that you have previously issued and then using the 'Confirm Referral Wizard' to tell IBIS that the product went ahead so that you know to expect a commission payment from the operator.

 

Online Products

With IBIS you can make online bookings directly into the reservations system of operators running IBIS. You will be shown how to identify online activity operators within your Ticketing Tree and make a live booking on an actual departure in the operator's system.

Once a product has been booked online, careful attention needs to paid to editing the online booking. Any changes to the booking must be made known to the operator by saving any changes online within the IBIS system. You will be walked through this process by editing an existing NZone booking.
